Scenario:

Pension & Benefits Review

You’re in your 50s and you’ve recently changed jobs. You feel it’s the perfect opportunity to review your pension and the benefits package. As you’ve got 5 – 6 pension plans you need someone to review them. Should you consolidate them or keep them separate? Should some of your pension savings be transferred to an ISA? It’s complicated!
Scenario:

Planning for the future

You’ve not given much thought to the future. Wherever you’ve worked the company has contributed to your pension and you’ve only recently started to question what that means. You’re now wondering if you’ve enough for your old age? You think that it’s probably wise to speak to someone who knows about these things.

We will only make recommendations about pension products once we’ve got to know you and we have a good understanding of your circumstances and retirement goals.

As with all of our services, we will meet you in person to learn about your:

  • Existing arrangements
  • Current and old company schemes
  • Projected State Pension and Personal Pensions.

We will also want to get a sense of your views on risk and capacity for loss.

Only once we’ve gathered all the necessary information will we make our recommendation. Typically this will involve asset allocation across cash, fixed interest, equity, property and specific funds.

As a Martin-Redman Partners client we will review your pension arrangements twice a year and check that they are on course to meet your retirement goals.

All of this is done in the most tax-efficient way, whether you are building your retirement pot or starting to draw down from it.
